November 6, 2010

Today was a gray and cool day. A big change from the high 60s low 70s we have been having this week. It is finally feeling like fall, getting darker earlier and this weekend is daylights savings time so it seems appropriate to start thinking of Thanksgiving and family gatherings and preparing my home.

Here is my first project of the holiday season.

The base of the banner is crafting felt, to that I glued two alternating shapes cut and printed on the Imagine using Country Carnival and then the letters were also printed nd cut using Country Carnival and the Imagine. In between the felt pennants are cardstock pennants that were embossed on the Cuttlebug and then further embellished with CUttlebug quilled fowers and stickles. It was all tacked together using a cloth coordinating ribbon, green buttons and string.
Total project time 2 hours 15 mins
( I have MS and the stitching/tacking took a bit of time and effort)

  1. There's sooo much detail in your work. Great banner Kymberlee!

  2. This is just lovely. Did you use the Imagine to make this?

  3. I love your banner! I should really play more with my CI :) I love the little details you put in your project - shows you really enjoyed making this. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration.
