I'm moving to Europe!

While I was ill I received a couple of really AMAZING gifts. Today I want to tell you about one of them.
A package of Kinder Surprise Eggs from and very generous friend that shall will remain anonymous at this point because I just found out that not only are these items banned in the US  (I knew this) but here is the scarey part...the person sending them can be fined $300 for sending them to me! YIKES!  Apparently it is considered ILLEGAL CONTRABAND!

Here is the deal if you know nothing about Kinder Surprise:

Kinder Surprise, also known as a Kinder Egg or, in the original Italian, Kinder Sorpresa, is a confection manufactured by Italian company Ferrero.

Kinder Eggs are sold all over the world excluding the United States, where the 1938 Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act prohibits embedding "non-nutritive items" in confections. Additionally, the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall on the eggs in 1997 (mostly via import shops).

For the record, the GERMAN ones have the best toys inside! It is kind of like a box of Cracker Jacks but the prizes are oh so much better!  LIKE REALLY!

They are getting harder and harder to come by here in the US. I have begged and begged people to send them to me. Not only is the chocolate delicious, the toys are REALLY cool. I didn't even share with my grandsons...really I didn't! I still have two eggs to savor and then...well I am just going to have to move to Europe!

None the less...if I can't find a steady supply, I am still moving. Yep, moving to Europe for the love of an egg :)
